Choose the language of the media and texts

Do you want, for example, to recover Japanese media, while keeping the texts (description, genre, etc.) in French?

It's entirely possible. You can choose in which language ARRM will recover the media and texts.

This is done from the General options tab:

Then click on the button Assignment of 'Screenscraper' media + Media order. You arrive on this screen:

On this screen you can choose the media to recover as well as the language priorities for these media. This will be explained in more detail in the section: Screenscraper Media Assignment in ARRM To modify the language of the textual information retrieved from Screenscraper, you must select in the 'Media Order' combobox:

  • Default: if you want to have the interface language
  • Manual: if you wish to modify the order of priority manually by entering the country codes separated by , (comma)
  • %country%: if you want to use a country preset.

For more details regarding these priorities, please consult the section: Screenscraper Media Assignment in ARRM

When scraping on Screenscraper, ARRM will search for the first media it finds in the order of the languages indicated. If, for example, you only want Japanese and Korean for the media and French or English for the texts, simply indicate

Text order: fr,eu,eu,uk,us,wor

Order of media: jp,kr

Please note, if no media matches jp (japan) or kr (korea), no media will be recovered. It is therefore possible in this case, if you still wish to recover media (in other languages), to extend the list, or to sort the initial list. The same goes for the texts.

Example : Media order: jp,kr,fr,ca,eu,wor,us,en,uk,sp,es,br,pt,it,de,cus
